This page, and for that matter the entire section, will only have content written by that featured writer. New articles
As a Featured Writer, your personal Google Adsense code is used for all three of the 200 x 200 Google Adsense ads on your pages. Thus you will then be able to login to your Google Adsense account and see your traffic and resultant advertising revenue. This is your sole source of income from these efforts.
Featured Writers are welcome to put a tagline at the top of each article (in italics) with a link to their personal site. They also are welcome to write an article "About The Author", which we will then link from pages within that author's section.
What can you expect? Advertising revenues will initially be minimal if not dismal, but they continue essentially in perpetuity, and should grow over time as FashBlog's traffic continues to grow and your article are increasingly accessed from within FashBlog and via direct access via search engines. The latter is a significant source of traffic, and one that grows once your pages have been published for a while given that it takes search engines some time to index content. FashBlog.com has been around since 2006, and its owner has been operating websites since 1998. We have no plans to do anything other than maintain existing content, adding to it steadily over time.
One also gets the benefit of reputation. Having a section in a reputable fashion blog is essentially like a living portfolio, there for all the world to see. Imagine saying the words "I moonlight for FashBlog.com," "I write fashion articles for FashBlog," or "I'm a fashion writer for FashBlog."
Note that a featured writer, to maintain his or her status (including the use of your Adsense code), must publish at least one article per month. If you are interested, send us a note including a sample article or two.

how does one person become a blog writer? I do not want to be a fashion blogger, but more like dear abby without the expensive degree, more like coffee talk with day to day moms? any advice would be appreciated. thanks
