We all know that shoes are a very important part of our wardrobe. Having a great pair of shoes can really make or break an outfit. That's why we all need different kinds of shoes for different occasions. That pair of classic black pumps that we wear to the office just won't cut it on a Saturday night at the hottest club in town. For those special times when we want to make a memorable and lasting impression, we need a pair of very sexy shoes.

Every woman has her own tastes in clothes and especially in shoes, so if you don't agree with my choices, that's ok. I am just putting some ideas on the table for you. First of all, I think there are different kinds of sexy. On the one hand, there is a classy kind of sexy look. This is the look you want to achieve when you go out to dinner at a swanky, upscale restaurant or when you go to a formal event such as a wedding. For example, if you combine a beautiful evening gown with the right pair of strappy heels, you'll end up with an irresistible look that would be appropriate even at a church wedding.

This is, of course, not the same kind of sexy look that you would go for when you're planning on spending the night at clubs. At clubs, you can get away with more outrageous shoes. For example, I've seen young women wearing knee-high stiletto boots with split sides and corset lacing. It takes fabulous legs to be able to pull off that look, but it definitely can be done. And, yes, that kind of footwear is sexy in a different way from the outfit described above. Platform shoes are another hit on the club scene. While some people wouldn't ordinarily think that platform shoes can be sexy, it's just a matter of getting the right pair. I've seen some great platform shoes with beautiful patterns and straps. You just have to put in the time looking for them.

High heels, not necessarily stilettos, can also be very sexy. With heels, you have the opportunity of selecting different materials, such as patent leather or something exotic like snakeskin. You can even go all out for a wild look and get a leopard or other animal print. There are so many varieties out there that you'll be able to find something that perfectly suits your personality and tastes.

The important thing to remember here is that shoes should never simply be an afterthought. The footwear that you select to complement your outfit plays a big role in determining whether or not the outfit "works". Wear the right pair of shoes, and you'll make a great impression on those around you. Wear the wrong pair of shoes and your outfit -- and your evening -- could end up being a complete disaster. So take some time to shop around in order to add the perfect pair of sexy shoes to your arsenal. They'll come in handy some day!
